All of our deliveries are by request, but will generally be between 9 and to 11 AM. If you book a bike for delivery, we will call or text you to pinpoint the precise time. You may also call or email us to make arrangements.

E-Bike Battery Life and Range
The stated range for these bikes is around 60 miles on the lower power assist settings. You can expect and should anticipate greatly reduced range if you use the highest power setting for your entire ride. There is a battery level indicator on the display (scroll through with the on-off button). Please keep your eyes on that and note that you can still pedal these bikes if the battery is dead, it just won't be quite as much fun.

We have a new fleet of premium, brand-name, Class 1 (pedal-assist to 20mph) e-bikes with five levels of power assist and a range up to 60 miles. They are user friendly and suitable for any paved surface, smooth gravel roads and dirt paths.

Our bikes are maintained by professional mechanics and inspected before and after every rental.

Road Safety Obligations
The renting party is bound by the rules of the road set forth by the State of California and local jurisdictions including but not limited to; not riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs, following traffic laws including stop signs, cellular phone use, traveling with the flow of traffic, etc.
Any infractions resulting in a traffic accident or citation are the responsibility of the renting party, including fines, fees for bicycle impoundment and costs for retrieving bicycles from off-site locations.

Reservations are fully refundable with a minimum of 24hrs notice prior to reservation. Reservations canceled under 24hrs in advance are not refundable. Private and Group cancellations may be made 48hrs in advance. These are subject to 25% fee and become non-refundable if canceled inside of 48hrs in advance. All reservations may be re-booked for up to one year in advance at no extra charge.
Allow 10-14 business days for refund.

Vacation Bike Rentals will arrange for pickup or transportation payment in the event of a mechanical or battery failure due to unforeseen circumstances, which may include force majeure, a flat tire, battery or mechanical issue which is not due to negligence on the part of the customer. In most cases the customer will receive a full or partial refund for their rental.

Not returning the bike to its place of origin.
Vacation Bike Rentals is not responsible for transportation charges if customer chooses to retain the services of a taxi, Uber, Lyft or any other paid driver in the event the customer chooses, of their own volition, not to complete the ride and return the bike to its place of origin. In this case, any charges regaled to retrieving the bike, along with a $50 service charge, will booked against the customer's credit card on file.

Vacation Bike Rentals will retain credit card information until all equipment is returned in working order. Vacation Bike Rentals will charge the credit card for all eventual costs in case of damages to the bicycle(s) during the rental period, including labor charges.
In case of loss or theft, the renting party will be responsible for reimbursing Vacation Bike Rentals for the replacement cost of $2000 USD per bike, plus the cost of any extras that were provided at the time of the bike rental.
